We had a fantastic time. The house is amazing, so many rooms to explore, a surprise behind every door! Our room was beautifully furnished, had the best view of the front gardens and we felt at home right away. We were really sad to leave!
Our second visit to Glenville was also something special: a different time of year and other wonderful impressions in the park, which we continued to explore. And Dare was a pleasant conversationalist and substitute host. We felt very comfortable and discovered new things. The journey through time in Glenville was a special highlight on our trip through beautiful Ireland.
Great few days in an authentic lived in castle, not for everyone but certainly a hidden treasure for those who appreciate it. We will be back!
It was a fascinating experience and very authentic. I would totally recommend it to history, literature and art enthusiasts, it was a gem in our tour in Ireland and Silvia is a friendly and an accommodating host.

Silvia’s beautiful home is one of the greatest experiences I’ve had in any Airbnb. Her place takes you back in time and makes you feel like you’re in a castle from a fairy tale. I encourage anyone who is staying in this area to stay in her beautiful home. Silvia was quick at responding and a great host.
Frankly the photos don’t do any sort of justice to this lovely manor home. It is both approachable and stately. A comfortable cosy mansion that is brimming with history in its many , spacious rooms. It lacks the sterile, pasteurized curation of other castle-to-hotel accommodations, but in that I found its charm surpassed anything we could have expected or anticipated Silvia was very communicative and accommodating to our check- in needs. The gardens and the countryside surrounding Glenville could eat up an entire day so try and slot at least a morning to wander around and explore the quiet, secretive woods. Whether you are just passing Glenville can make either and all a warmly memorable trip.
Just a little note to thank you for Saturday night. It was most delightful and Olivia and Duncan were very entertaining.
The old world style and glamour combined with the warm welcome of the owners Silvia and Stefan guaranteed a night to remember.
In our opinion one would be foolish not to shortlist this venue as a possible for their celebration.
