This is a very special place.  It is a place that is hard to describe in words and it is hard to show in pictures.  It is a magical kind of place that feels frozen in the late 19^th century.  It drips of Romanticism.  If you take a stroll, you will suddenly understand Wordsworth and the 19^th Century poets.  The estate is welcoming to the bohemian artistic temperament.  Parts of the garden feel like a Piranesi sketch.

Just a little note to thank you for Saturday night. It was most delightful and Olivia and Duncan were very entertaining.

I really loved the old house, and the mysterious atmosphere of the garden. I also enjoyed having discussions with people from different countries, such as Germany, Italy and America…

I spent two weeks in Glenville and enjoyed it very much. The daily English lesson was interesting and it has improved my English level a lot. In the huge garden I could play football and go out for walks.

I did a lot of outings with Stefan and Silvia. I liked my stay there very much.

 

My holidays in Ireland were just amazing.The English lessons were interesting and not boring at all, we had a lot of fun and it helped me a lot.I had so much fun and it was honestly one of the greatest times in my whole life!!

I met so many nice and friendly people. Silvia´s house is so so so so beautiful and I felt at home since the first minute I stepped inside.
We visited so many great places in Cork and I fell in love with Ireland. I really want to come back in Summer 2017 (I have to do a holiday job so I can’t come in Summer 2016).

I can recommend it to everyone to go to Ireland and take up language holidays there!

Hello my name is Paul, I am french and I am 13. Last summer I spent 2 weeks at Glenville Park and it was very great.

Silvia and Stefan were very nice to me and with other guests. In the morning we used to study. We have the choice of studying 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours. The classes were interesting, funny because we play games in English . It helped me a lot because, before I didn’t dare to speak in English. Now I speak and understand English better than before. In the afternoon we have different activities. I hope I will go back there the next summer!

In August I spent two weeks in Glenville Park to learn English. It was very beautiful and family-like. The food is typical Irish and the bedrooms are cosy. The English was helpful and I started the next school year with a better feeling.

During the lessons we also played funny games and baked some cookies.

We were only four pupils, therefore Silvia and Stephan had enough time for each of us. We also went to the village and to the beach. They took us to horse-riding lessons.

We had lots of fun in Glenville Park and wrote all our events in our diary. I enjoy reading it at home.

I hope I can come back next year.

We were privileged to be asked to play for a function in your fine establishment and it turned out to be one of the best nights of our career to date.

The old world style and glamour combined with the warm welcome of the owners Silvia and Stefan guaranteed a night to remember.

In our opinion one would be foolish not to shortlist this venue as a possible for their celebration.

My stay in Ireland: At arrival, I found the house looked a bit scary. But then, I saw our nice rooms and the beautiful garden and felt very well. Stephan and Silvia were very nice to me and the English lessons with Emma were very interesting. I learned a lot and enjoyed my stay of two weeks very much. I would like to come back next year!  Thank you very much:)

I’ve spent two weeks at Stefan and Silvia’s home and it was really a nice and unforgettable experience for me. Hosts were so welcoming for me, I was feeling as a part of the family sharing good moments with all guests during my stay. It’s so nice to feel involved in the life of the manor. It was also nice to discuss with Stefan and Silvia about various subjects, to improve English, Silvia is a good teacher. Accommodation was nice and the provided food excellent. Completed by some yoga, jogging and pubs, it was perfect !! I really thank Stefan and Silvia for their warm welcome, their human qualities and for all the good shared times. This place will remain in my memory… 😉

I spent two weeks in Glenville Park this summer. With two friends, we discovered the unique and amazing castle. The lessons were very entertaining and we enjoyed debating, reading, talking and writing in english every morning. But in addition to the lessons, we spoke english all the time. We also liked visiting a lot of Cork’s surroundings. And of course, we couldn’t leave Glenville without playing “sardines” with Silvia and Stefan!

I went to Glennville Park in summer 2014. I enjoyed it very much because of the kindness of Sylvia and Stefan. I really improved my English and progressed a lot. I highly recommend this experience.
